About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team at a leading independent global automotive distributor and retailer in Bournemouth.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair tasks using technical knowledge and expertise
  • Utilize modern diagnostic equipment to test, diagnose, and resolve faults
  • Suggest and implement improvements to processes and procedures
  • Work on electrical and mechanical systems, inspecting components for wear and tear, and repairing or replacing parts as needed
  • Check vehicle subsystems and liaise with customers to ensure high-quality service
  • Support other technicians in the workshop to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Have prior experience working in a main automotive dealer or similar environment
  • Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping
  • Be able to work to efficiency targets and maintain a high level of productivity
  • Hold a full UK driving license and have a VOSA-approved MOT tester qualification (an advantage but not essential)
