We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our dynamic Finance Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of new streamlined billing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Validate and approve customer contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist the Head of Finance in designing and implementing new, more efficient billing processes.
- Set up new customer accounts across various systems.
- Coordinate with Sales & Business Development to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients.
- Manage billing cycles for timely and accurate invoicing, distributing invoices as per schedules.
- Oversee direct debit processes.
- Resolve invoice queries to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage on-hold accounts, coordinating with credit control to resolve issues.
- Act as the primary contact for contract and billing inquiries.
- Proactively contact customers to clarify contract terms, billing issues, and payment statuses.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships.
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
- Experience within multi-site retail, distribution, or other fast-paced sectors.
- Experience in Billing/accounts receivable or similar.
- A continuous improvement outlook, keen on implementing positive changes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident in ability to learn new systems.
We offer a competitive salary of up to £34,000.00 per year, along with a range of benefits, including casual dress, company events, company pension, free parking, on-site parking, and excellent public transport links.
