Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SENCo to join our dedicated staff from October 2024. The school is committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports the diverse needs of its students.
Role and Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of the school's SEN policy and procedures.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure that students with SEN receive the support they need.
- Conduct assessments and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Provide training and support for staff on SEN-related issues.
- Collaborate with external agencies and professionals to ensure that students with SEN receive the best possible support.
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) and a recognised UK SENCo qualification.
- Significant UK experience in a similar role within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of current SEN legislation and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
