Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in Western Sydney. As a leading mental health service, we provide care to older adults in acute inpatient and community settings. This role involves providing medical leadership, supporting the team, and shaping older persons' mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality clinical care to older adults in inpatient and community settings
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centered, trauma-informed care
  • Contribute to research and quality improvement initiatives to advance mental health services
  • Participate in teaching and supervision of junior staff to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • FRANZCP or overseas equivalent qualification
  • Experience in older age psychiatry in inpatient and community settings
  • Expertise in person-centered, trauma-informed care
  • Strong leadership and collaborative skills
  • Experience in quality improvement and clinical governance
  • Teaching and supervision experience
  • Valid driving license
