Position Overview

This role will primarily concentrate on significant Civil Engineering and Residential projects for a prominent firm recognized for its excellence in the North East, managing initiatives across both public and private sectors.

Department Responsibilities
The Surveying Department within the Operating Division plays a crucial role in overseeing and regulating expenditures on all company developments by managing the "cost of sales" and ensuring compliance with all Group Commercial policies and procedures.

Key Duties
With guidance from the Commercial Manager and Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Prepare a comprehensive subcontract Enquiry List for approval by senior management.
  • Compile a complete enquiry package, including Valuations, Cost Value Reports, Re-Drawings, and Foundation Schedules, ensuring all tender information is meticulously gathered and compliant tender packs are issued.
  • Review all health and safety documentation with the Construction Department and Health & Safety Manager before placing orders.
  • Analyze and verify subcontractor applications for payment on a weekly and monthly basis.
