Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon with a focus on Hand and Wrist procedures to join our esteemed team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your professional journey in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Role Responsibilities
As a Consultant, you will engage in a 6-month fixed-term position, with the potential for extension to 12 months or transition into a permanent role. You will be part of a collaborative team of 25 Consultants, delivering a comprehensive range of elective and emergency services.

Clinical Duties
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting an average of 3 Outpatient Clinics and 3 Theatre sessions weekly.
  • Participating in acute service provision on a 1:10 weekday on-call basis and a 1:20 weekend on-call schedule.
  • Working across multiple sites to ensure the delivery of elective services.

Collaboration and Specialization
In this role, you will work closely with the existing Hand and Wrist Consultant team and maintain strong communication with the Plastic Surgery department. A passion for hand surgery is essential, along with demonstrated sub-specialist experience in areas such as facial surgery, Dupuytren's contracture, and joint fusions.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess post-CCT experience in hand and wrist surgery, including relevant fellowship training. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the enhancement of our surgical services and patient care.
