Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Fitter to join our team, with a strong background in an allied trade such as air conditioning, fitting, plating, blacksmithing, or sheet metal work. As an Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for contributing to the creation of a 'Great Place to Work' by role-modeling safety-first, a Kaizen mindset, and supporting your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the team's safety-first culture and Kaizen mindset
- Hold yourself and fellow team members accountable to embody the GKN Aerospace culture principles
- Undertake tasks in compliance with standard work and training, and report any problems to your TL
- Exemplify a safety-first mindset and follow GKN Aerospace Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and standards
- Understand your team's Key Performance Indicators and contribute to them
- Become certified at the Lean Foundation level and implement at least one Kaizen per month
- Support the team and TL in problem-solving and contribute ideas based on your experience
- Be an active member of the team, promoting collective engagement
Qualifications and Experience
The essential criteria for consideration for this role are:
- A recognized 2-4 year apprenticeship in an allied trade, with a minimum Level 3 qualification
- Appropriate signed Indentures of Apprenticeship (where applicable) and/or certification in relevant qualifications
