Job Summary

A highly skilled Radiographer is required to lead our MRI department at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a Cardiac MRI Lead Radiographer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload, collaborating with leading practitioners, and supervising junior team members.

Main Duties of the Job
  1. Provide clinical leadership of the MRI department, ensuring compliance with local policies and MHRA guidelines.
  2. Independently undertake a wide range of MRI procedures, including specialized cardiac MRI scanning, to a high professional standard.
  3. Supervise and train new members of the MRI Team, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  4. Coordinate the cardiac MRI service with Cardiologists and the administrative team.
  5. Practice in accordance with professional, ethical, and legal codes, maintaining a commitment to continuing professional development.
  6. Develop policies, procedures, and new services in collaboration with the radiology manager.

Person Specification
  • BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) and a postgraduate qualification.
  • Extensive post-registration experience and Radiation Protection Supervisor training.
