About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Fremington Manor, a residential and nursing care home in Barnstaple, Devon. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside a team of Care Assistants to provide guidance and support during shifts
  • Identify individual needs and abilities of residents to deliver person-centred care
  • Support residents to maintain independence and promote their well-being
  • Provide companionship and build relationships with residents
  • Act as a point of escalation for incidents or events in the home
  • Contribute to a co-operative and welcoming atmosphere in the home
Requirements

We are looking for someone who is naturally caring and compassionate, with a passion for delivering high-quality care. You will need to have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) and have previous care experience. You will also need to be able to inspire and nurture your team to be at their best every day.
