Job Title: HGV Foreman

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Foreman to join our team at Biffa, a leading waste management company in the UK. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Lorry Mechanic, or Workshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and Repair Vehicles: Ensure that waste collection vehicles are properly maintained and repaired to meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that it is well-organized and efficient.
  • Inspections and Services: Conduct regular inspections and services to ensure that vehicles are in compliance with operating licenses.
  • Documentation: Accurately document service and repair activities.
  • Defect Diagnosis and Repair: Diagnose and repair defects in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Full Level 3 HGV apprentice qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience in roles such as PSV Mechanic, Lorry Mechanic, or Workshop Manager.
  • Skills: Proficiency in hydraulic and electrical systems, with experience in welding a plus.
