Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote and support the young people in our care, leading a life of positive development.
- Ensure day-to-day management is facilitated in a professional and competent manner, supporting the Service Manager in providing the best quality care.
- Lead a team of professionals to provide therapeutic care and support needed for each individual child.
- Record events and observations, progress reports, and prepare and implement care plans and records.
- Act as a positive role model to colleagues and children, developing trusting relationships that create recovery, growth, and lasting change.
Requirements:
- Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
- A minimum of 12 months experience and a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare.
- Great communication skills, naturally caring, flexible, and resilient.
- Highly energetic, calm under pressure, and able to manage sometimes challenging situations.
- Flexibility to work shifts and sleep-ins in caring for the children.
