Job Summary:

Our Vehicle Technicians play a vital role in maintaining the John Lewis Partnership Fleet, ensuring all vehicles are serviced and repaired to a high standard. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs, working independently and as part of a team to achieve our goals.

About the Role:

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be working on our large HGV lorries, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard. You will be responsible for completing inspections, services, and defect sheets, as well as managing spare parts and consumables. You will need to be aware of best practices and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to ensure high-quality repairs are carried out in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on HGV lorries
  • Complete inspections, services, and defect sheets
  • Manage spare parts and consumables
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve our goals
Requirements:
  • City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualifications
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
