About the Role

CapeClarke is seeking a talented Construction Lawyer to join our growing non-contentious Construction Law team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on construction contracts, projects, and related matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Negotiating Contracts: You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and advising on construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, and bespoke agreements.
  • Providing Strategic Advice: You will provide strategic legal advice on construction projects, from inception through to completion, ensuring that our clients' interests are protected.
  • Client Collaboration: You will work closely with clients across various sectors, including real estate, infrastructure, and public services, to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with colleagues in other departments, such as real estate and corporate, to deliver integrated legal solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-4 years PQE with a focus on non-contentious construction law.
  • Skills: Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a deep understanding of construction contracts and related documents.
  • Attributes: Client-focused, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
