Job Summary:
Argee Recruit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer - Groundworks Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the groundworks operations on residential projects, ensuring that all works are completed to the highest standards and in accordance with current drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of groundworkers to ensure that all works are completed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct site surveys and setting out to ensure that all works are accurately positioned and aligned.
- Develop and implement site-specific health and safety plans to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that all works are completed in accordance with project specifications.
- Monitor and control costs, ensuring that all works are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Ensure that all temporary works designs are in place and that all work is undertaken according to current drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that all works are being completed to the required standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the quality of work.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in groundworks operations, preferably in a residential construction setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and other construction software.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work on a variety of residential construction projects, including roads, drainage, and landscaping. The role will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions and may require occasional travel to client sites.
