About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at G4S Patient Transport Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and high-quality patient transport services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport Patients with Care: Safely transport patients with varying health and mobility needs to and from hospital/Clinic appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
  • Assist with Patient Care: Assist, move, and handle patients who may be ambulatory or wheelchair bound, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
  • Ensure Patient Safety and Welfare: Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Liaise with Central Control Team: Communicate effectively with our central control team to ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of patients.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments: Conduct patient and vehicle risk assessments, and complete reports or documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence: Possess a valid full UK manual driving licence.
  • Teamwork and Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical Fitness: Be physically fit to ensure your safety and the well-being of patients.
  • Enhanced DBS Check: Hold an enhanced DBS check, which will be applied and paid for by G4S.
