About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Residential Childcare Worker to join our team at Lily Residential Services Ltd. As a Senior Residential Childcare Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people who have experienced trauma and/or neglect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care and support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Hold the lead responsibility for each shift worked, ensuring tasks and paperwork are completed, and maintaining a high quality of care.
  • Support the young person's activities, such as outdoor games, educational programs, and life skills development.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, IROs, and education providers, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
  • Contribute to the running of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Provide guidance and support to Residential Childcare Workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
  • Communicate effectively with the Registered Manager and other senior staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Reliable, compassionate, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Driving license required
