**About the Role**

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting The Schroder Foundation in their search for an Interim Operations and Governance Manager to join their team on a 6-month contract.

The Schroder Foundation is a small, family-led, independent grant-making charity that provides administrative services to four other charities, the majority of which are also grant-making charities.

This is an interim role that involves providing day-to-day management to the five charities, ensuring their smooth operation until the permanent Director role is in place.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of charity governance and operations, ideally with a background of running or operating within small organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day management to the five charities
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the charities until the permanent Director role is in place
  • Manage a varied workload, covering tasks and responsibilities relating to governance, finance, grant making, and administration
  • Provide line management to the Grants Officer and delegate tasks to the contract Finance Manager
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the charities' operations and governance

**Requirements**

The successful candidate will have:

  • A strong understanding of charity governance and operations
  • A background of running or operating within small organizations
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience, with experience of working with trustee boards
