We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at Elanco. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development of new pharmaceutical and vaccine products.

• Provide technical leadership for upstream development, ensuring phase-appropriate technical development and collaboration with relevant functions.
• Lead process development projects, providing oversight for technical transfers and scale-up into pilot plant areas.
• Support commercialization of new products through partnering across functions.
• Participate in the evaluation of new business opportunities through due diligence, product reviews, and cost modeling.
• Serve as a technical resource across Elanco, applying expertise to scientific problems and supporting the network.
• Coach and mentor development scientists, ensuring delivery of high-quality technical reports.

• Preferred degree or advanced degree in a scientific discipline (biochemistry, biotechnology/biologics or related discipline) or relevant experience in a science field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in development/commercialization activities for pharmaceutical or vaccine products.
• Demonstrated success in the development and commercialization of new pharmaceutical or vaccine technologies.
• Experience in regulated environments and working under Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including strategic and creative thinking.
• Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence teams.
