Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Precision CNC Grinder to join our busy and expanding engineering team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating Cylindrical and Surface Grinders, as well as other equipment within our Grinding department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and setting of CNC Grinders, including Studer (Fanuc) and Jones & Shipman machines.
- Manual Cylindrical and Surface Grinding, including internal and external grinding.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate grinding operations.
- Working closely with the team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
- Using various types of measuring equipment to ensure accurate part dimensions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to resolve problems.
- Experience of small to medium-sized batch work and previous experience in a similar sub-contract manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Hours and Benefits:
The successful candidate will work Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, and Friday, 7:30am to 1:00pm. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the normal rate. Private medical care is also available.
Salary and Overtime:
The salary for this position is up to £40,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
