Complex Needs Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Greenwich. As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with complex needs and disabilities, providing them with the individualized support they need to succeed in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to pupils with complex needs, promoting their independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure pupils receive every opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Assist pupils with managing their medical needs, including epilepsy training and intensive interaction.
  • Support pupils with autism, attention autism, and sensory and speech and language needs.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with complex needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with pupils with complex needs and disabilities.
  • Knowledge of autism, attention autism, and sensory and speech and language needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to pupils with complex needs.
