Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Teacher for Sociology to join our team at Ark. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Sociology curriculum, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education in this subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Sociology curriculum that meets the needs of our students
  • Lead a team of teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Sociology
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Sociology curriculum and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure consistency and coherence across the curriculum
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to Sociology

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience of teaching Sociology at secondary level
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement curriculum change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for teaching and learning
