Packaging Team Leader Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Packaging Department at Pertemps Birmingham Industrial. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Packaging Manager in developing the team and meeting the packaging schedule while ensuring compliance with product specifications and maintaining high levels of hygiene and housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team to achieve optimal operational performance
  • Promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Implement changes and communicate effectively with the team
  • Record production data accurately for auditing purposes
  • Monitor and report daily/weekly efficiencies
  • Raise corrective actions to engineers and the continuous improvement leader
  • Ensure quality standards are met and correct labeling, weight, and measures are implemented
  • Use SAP ERP system to record data
  • Prepare and conduct Performance Development Review (PDR) meetings
  • Manage and conduct back-to-back interviews
  • Support staff development and future opportunities
