Platform Engineer Opportunity

Cathcart Technology is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer to join their team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in building and architecting the infrastructure that supports their market-leading product, Hybrid Working.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible, as well as commercial experience with Azure and Azure DevOps Pipelines. Good SQL skills and working knowledge of Linux are also essential.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the infrastructure is deployed and maintained correctly. The team is relatively small, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced engineers to ensure the platforms are developed correctly and performing well for users.

The company offers a competitive salary of between £35k-£50k, private medical insurance, 34 days of holiday, and a bonus scheme. They also provide extensive access to learning and development platforms, making it an ideal opportunity for career progression.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions using Terraform and Ansible
  • Working with Azure and Azure DevOps Pipelines to deploy and maintain infrastructure
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure infrastructure meets business requirements
  • Ensuring platforms are developed correctly and performing well for users
