McLaren Advanced Projects is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our engineering unit, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure to support our racing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement database solutions to meet the needs of our racing teams
  • Ensure database performance and efficiency through tuning and optimization
  • Partner with platform engineering to ensure operational excellence for our database platforms
  • Work closely with engineering teams to optimize data models and queries
  • Implement tools and platforms for advanced data analysis, visualization, and reporting
  • Continuously monitor data systems and processes to identify and implement improvements

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of relational database technologies such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Postgres
  • Experience with NoSQL, streaming, graph, timeseries, or edge databases
  • Familiarity with data storage options, including NAS, SAN, and DAS
  • Experience with data pipeline design and implementation
  • Deep experience in maintaining database platforms and infrastructure
