This position is ideal for an ACA qualified accountant with audit experience, looking to enhance their operational month-end, commercial accounting, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) skills within a dynamic business environment. The successful candidate will oversee the financial management of a specific division, ensuring the accuracy of monthly financial data, reporting, forecasting, and supporting the commercial director in making informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and present the monthly financial results for the division, contributing to the 5-Year rolling profit forecast, annual budget, and half-year reforecast.
  • Manage the monthly reporting cycle for the division, guaranteeing the timely and precise dissemination of all financial information.
  • Assist in the creation of divisional board reports.
  • Generate ad hoc management reports to support critical business decisions.
  • Enhance and implement financial processes and control frameworks within the division.
  • Conduct financial due diligence on all tender submissions.
  • Analyze contracts to identify essential financial, compliance, and insurance stipulations.
  • Support the renewal of annual insurance policies and manage ongoing insurance requirements.
  • Prepare financial planning and scenario analysis as needed by the organization.

Candidate Profile:

  • The ideal candidate will be a fully ACA qualified accountant with audit training.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Excel are essential; experience in financial modeling is a plus.
  • Proven experience in month-end processes, management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is required.
  • Experience in the property, real estate, or construction sectors is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary in the range of £70,000 - £80,000, along with a performance-related bonus of 10-15%.
