Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Legal Recruitment Ltd. As a leading legal recruitment agency, we specialize in placing top talent in the legal industry.

About the Role

  • Handle a caseload of contentious construction matters, providing expert advice and representation to clients.
  • Advise on all aspects of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft submissions for adjudication and arbitration proceedings, presenting complex cases with confidence.
  • Represent clients in Technology and Construction Court proceedings, navigating the complexities of construction law.
  • Liaise with clients, other professionals, and stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
  • Prepare seminars and contribute to publications, sharing expertise and thought leadership in the field.
  • Contribute to business development, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with key clients.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' PQE in construction matters, with a strong understanding of contentious and non-contentious law.
  • Previous experience in both contentious and non-contentious construction matters is essential.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about business development, with a strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
  • Familiar with key legislation, including the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996, the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998, and the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • IT proficient and commercially aware, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
