We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Work Placement Officer to join our Careers, Work Experience & Progression team at Leeds City College. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students in securing work placements that align with their career goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support students in identifying their skills, qualities, and aspirations, and matching them to suitable work placements.
- Deliver placement-based sessions to students, providing guidance and support throughout the placement process.
- Act as a point of contact for students and employers, ensuring smooth communication and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Manage a caseload of students, providing individualized support and guidance.
- Undertake general administration duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Travel across the Leeds City Region to support placements, as required.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping students achieve their career goals. You will have a strong understanding of employability skills and be able to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
- Experience of working with young people in a group and one-to-one basis.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, college staff, employers, and other stakeholders.
