Moog Military Aircraft Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Wolverhampton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving financial accountability and growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including the Site Reporting Manager and Group Finance Team.
* Corporate Reporting: Develop and implement corporate reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Long-term Accounting: Manage long-term accounting processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
* Budgeting / Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
* Statutory Accounts: Prepare and submit statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance, including preparation and submission of tax returns.
* Operational Accounting / Cost Analysis: Analyze and optimize operational costs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
* Management Accounting: Provide management accounting support, including financial analysis and reporting.
* Business Partnering: Collaborate with other departments, including contracts, programme management, operations, and engineering, to drive business growth and improvement.
* Reporting and Presenting Financial Results: Present financial results to stakeholders, including the Site Reporting Manager and Group Finance Team.
* Liaison with Group Finance Team: Liaise with the Group Finance Team in East Aurora, NY, US, to ensure alignment and coordination of financial activities.
* Sustainment of SAP S/4HANA: Ensure the continued implementation and support of SAP S/4HANA, including development of financial reporting schedules and internal controls.
* Development of Financial Reporting Schedules: Develop and maintain financial reporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Development of Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Liaison with Internal/External Auditors: Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Mentoring: Mentor a team of 3 Trainee Accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Requirements:

* Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
* Advanced Excel skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage workload and work to strict deadlines
* Knowledge of US GAAP (desirable)
