Job Title: Crane Supervisor/Slinger Banksman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crane Supervisor/Slinger Banksman to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing crane operations and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and Coordinating Crane Operations: Develop and implement effective plans for crane operations, including risk assessments and method statements.
  2. Supervising and Instructing Crane Operators and Banksmen: Provide guidance and training to crane operators and banksmen to ensure they are working safely and efficiently.
  3. Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety Regulations: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to on construction sites.
  4. Inspecting Cranes and Lifting Equipment: Regularly inspect cranes and lifting equipment to identify any defects or issues.
  5. Liaising with Site Managers and Other Personnel: Communicate effectively with site managers and other personnel to ensure smooth operations.
  6. Resolving Issues: Address any issues that may arise during crane operations.

Requirements:

  1. NPORS or CPCS Qualifications: Hold NPORS or CPCS qualifications in crane supervision and slinging/banksman.
  2. Proven Experience: Have proven experience in a similar role.
  3. Leadership and Communication Skills: Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
  4. Ability to Work Under Pressure: Be able to work well under pressure.
  5. Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations: Have excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
