About the Role

Astute People is partnering with a leading international business to recruit a Service Engineer to join their Renewables team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out mechanical and hydraulic maintenance at the company's workshop in Crewe and across customer sites in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance on mechanical equipment such as pumps, macerators, and digester feeding systems.
  • Plan service jobs and write up service reports.
  • Carry out repairs and overhauls within the workshop and travel to customer sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Support Warehouse staff and Spares team as required.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and company vehicle.
Requirements
  • A recognised Engineering qualification or proven experience.
  • Telehandler or forklift licence is desired but not essential.
  • Previous experience working within the Biogas/Anaerobic Digestion or a similar environment such as agriculture or wastewater.
  • Experience carrying out mechanical work on pumps (rotary lobe pumps, progressive cavity pumps), macerators, and digester feeding systems.
  • Happy to travel across the UK to carry out onsite servicing and repairs.
  • A great work ethic and a passion for working within the renewable energy/biogas sector.
  • A full UK driving licence.
