Work Schedule:

  • Day and night trunking operations.
  • Tramping shifts available for both days and nights.
  • Standard workweek from Monday to Friday.

Compensation Structure:

  • £16.03 per hour for daytime shifts.
  • £16.81 per hour for nighttime shifts.
  • £25.00 for overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Operator:

  • Safely operate a 48,000LB vehicle for local deliveries and pickups, ensuring all tasks are documented accurately.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle, adhering to company protocols to verify that all safety equipment and controls are functioning correctly. Report any discrepancies using standard procedures.
  • Follow the designated delivery schedule meticulously, collaborating with dispatchers and team members to ensure timely and professional service.
  • Maintain productivity standards to guarantee efficient service to all clients.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications for the HGV Class 1 Operator:

  • Valid Class 1 (HGV) License with a minimum of one year of driving experience.
  • Possession of a CPC Card.
  • Digital Tachograph Card with a solid understanding of Working Time Directives (WTD).
  • Clean driving record with no DD, DR, or IN10 convictions.
  • Valid Driving License.
