Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team in Reading. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems within an industrial static site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
  • Maintain and repair fire alarm systems to prevent downtime and ensure safety
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure all fire alarm systems are compliant with industry standards

Requirements:

  • Experience working with fire alarm and detection systems
  • Gold CSCS and 17th or 18th edition certification
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

What We Offer:

  • Competitive base salary of 38,000
  • 4,000 site allowance
  • 2,500 bonus on completion of security clearance and training
  • Every other Friday off
  • Monday-Friday 07:45-16:30
  • Frequent optional overtime (worth a minimum of 2,500)
  • 25 days paid holiday (33 including bank holidays)
