Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor to lead a team of NDT Inspectors in a dynamic Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of NDT services to internal and external customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Performance Management: Lead a team of NDT Inspectors and trainees, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Pre-Planning and Task Management: Plan, research, and coordinate NDT-related tasks, ensuring timely completion and certification.
  • Quality and Performance Monitoring: Monitor quality, cost, and overall performance of NDT tasks, taking corrective action to address any non-performance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all NDT-related tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety standards.
  • Training and Development: Ensure NDT staff maintain current approvals by monitoring qualification expiry dates, recency records, eye tests, and recurrent training.
  • Tooling and Equipment Management: Ensure all NDT-related tooling and equipment are in calibration and maintained correctly.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with NDT Level 3 responsible persons and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Completed a recognised aeronautical apprenticeship (Civil or military) and demonstrable experience in an aircraft maintenance or similar environment.
  • NDT Approvals: Multiple Non-Destructive Testing approvals, including Eddy current, Ultrasonic, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, and UT Phased Array.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with Boeing 737, BAe 146, and Embraer aircraft NDT techniques, as well as EASA/CAA, Health Safety & Environmental legislation, and Employment Legislation.
  • Leadership and Communication: Previous supervisory/leadership experience in a relevant environment, with strong commercial and financial awareness, and effective communication skills.
