Due to a robust pipeline of projects in the region and exciting new collaborations with our clients, we are seeking a Principal Wastewater Network Modeller to enhance our Newcastle office.
You will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team comprising 110 professionals from Stantec, spanning 13 UK offices and a team in Pune, alongside our clients and consultant/contractor partners, working together to deliver projects across the UK and Ireland.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative group of modellers, contributing to long-term frameworks while engaging in industry-leading projects.
ABOUT YOU
To qualify for this position, you should possess a degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related field, and be a member of a relevant professional institution such as ICE or CIWEM. You will have a proven track record of leading projects in urban drainage. Successful candidates will exhibit technical expertise across a broad spectrum of urban drainage modelling activities.
Your role will involve providing guidance, training, and fostering staff development and wellbeing within the discipline.
Additionally, you will participate in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of urban drainage projects, ensuring excellence in delivery, technical governance, and adherence to best practices.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (both external and internal), and establishing connections within the industry.
Furthermore, you will have experience in managing and developing our personnel, along with the ability to integrate seamlessly into a team and provide technical leadership in an urban drainage context, all while maintaining a strong client service focus.
