Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all quality control laboratory functions to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
- Establish and oversee protocols for sampling, storage, testing, approval/rejection, and disposal of materials.
- Review and validate batch records and certificates of analysis.
- Conduct thorough root cause analyses and manage reports of non-compliance.
- Reject any raw materials and products that do not meet quality standards.
- Assist in the resolution of customer complaints.
- Approve specifications, sampling guidelines, and testing methodologies.
- Oversee the identification, installation, maintenance, and calibration of essential equipment.
- Assess and approve requirements for new equipment and qualification processes.
- Enhance and maintain site quality standards, including ISO 9001, ICH Q7, FEMAS, Kosher, and BRC.
- Implement a quality management system to achieve quality objectives.
- Conduct investigations into deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Supervise and provide training for QC laboratory personnel.
- Ensure effective resource utilization and staff proficiency with equipment and software.
- Manage team performance, including conducting appraisals and setting objectives.
- Act as the Deputy for the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in a comparable role within a laboratory environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and assurance methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with relevant quality standards such as ISO 9001, ICH Q7, FEMAS, Kosher, and BRC.
