Job Title: Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

MTrec Technical is seeking a skilled Aesthetic Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining steam boilers and associated plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Commission, diagnose, service, maintain, and repair all types of burners on any fuel, including Hamworthy & Saacke.
  • Commission, service, maintain, and repair or replace all types of water level control systems.
  • Commission, service, maintain, and repair or replace all types of TDS, Bottom Blowdown valves and control systems.
  • Commission, service, maintain, and repair or replace all types of combustion control equipment including Autoflame, Eclipse, and Synergy units.
  • Undertake installation and commissioning on all types of combustion or water level control system upgrades.
  • Undertake the installation, commission, servicing, and repair of all types of VSD control systems.
  • Resolving and supporting other engineers with complex or difficult breakdowns or repairs of both burners and associated equipment electrically or mechanically.
  • Routine boiler servicing and maintenance.
  • Preparation of Steam, CHP, and Hot Water boilers for annual insurance surveys, and/or NDE examinations.
  • Clean boilers internally and externally Fire and/or Water side.
  • Rebuild and reinstatement of Steam, CHP, and Hot Water boilers on successful completion of annual insurance surveys, and/or NDE examinations.
  • Liaise with Cochran Senior Technical Support engineers or OEM Technical support functions to assist with any diagnostic or identified issues for support in resolving problems on site.
  • Liaise with Technical or Electrical support as appropriate for assistance and/or support with resolving any diagnostic or identified problems on site.
  • Mentoring and training less experienced or knowledgeable engineers.
  • Liaise with client and respective insurance examiners as necessary to ensure all equipment is ready for examination as and when required and examinations and inspections are completed in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the service co-ordinator or other departments as necessary and when or where required to ensure any works or materials required outside of our initial job scope are progressed or quoted at the earliest opportunity to the client, to prevent undue delays in returning equipment to operation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the steam, CHP, or Hot Water boiler and any associated plant are returned to service in liaison with the client and is fully operational and safe to operate.
  • Responsible for mentoring and training engineers assigned to them.
  • Responsible for ensuring all waste materials are disposed of in the proper manner and the boiler house is left clean and tidy to the client's satisfaction.
  • Electrical experience and knowledge and/or qualification.
  • Competent in reading and following electrical schematic drawings.
  • Mechanical Qualification.
  • Experience & knowledge of steam boilers and associated plant.
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship training programme.
  • Driving Licence no more than 3 points.
  • A Confined Space Medium Risk Qualification would be an advantage.
  • A Recognised Safety Passport Qualification CCNSG would be desirable.
  • You may hold an Electrical Qualification 18th Edition.
  • It would be advantageous to have Manufacturer Training E.
