Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to lead our Property Assets Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing estate assets, providing specialist general property services, and assisting officers with property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a specialist general property service, engaging customers and stakeholders to make effective use of the service.
  • Assist officers on all Property Assets Team property matters, including providing valuation advice and advising on title/leases/legaldocuments.
  • Provide property input to corporate projects, such as major capital projects, acquisitions, disposals, and regeneration schemes.
  • Manage a property portfolio, overseeing invoicing, liaising with tenants, and dealing with tenant-related issues.
  • Put in place and manage wayleave and easement arrangements.
  • Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, and new lettings as appropriate.
  • Represent the team at meetings and negotiations to deliver the above.

Requirements:

  • MRICS or relevant degree-level qualification with demonstrable experience of undertaking general practice estates surveying roles in a public or Local Authority sector.
  • Knowledge of the Isle of Wight and its property market and experience of a local government environment is desirable.
  • Having access to own transport is an advantage.

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly rate of £37.16 per hour worked.
