About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Retail. As a key member of the store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the store, including managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and motivate a team of retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including stock management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer engagement
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and implement company initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety, customer service, and data protection
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a retail management role, preferably in a pet-related industry
  • Proven track record of delivering high standards and great results in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service
