About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our team as a Clinical Pharmacist - Mental Health Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of specialist mental health clinical pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services to support the mental health needs of patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that pharmaceutical care needs are met and medicines management standards are upheld.
  • Provide education and training to medical and nursing staff, patients, and carers on safe and effective use of medication.
  • Support the development of clinical governance, clinical audit, and risk management processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to medicines management and pharmacy services.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Registered as a practising pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and clinical pharmacy training.
  • Specialised and up-to-date knowledge of medicines management, NHS policy, and clinical governance.
  • Good IT skills and experience of working in a hospital pharmacy setting.
