Finance Business Partner - Saga Travel

Salary 50,000- 60,000

Permanent

Hybrid - Ashford office once per week.

Saga Travel is embarking on a major business transformation journey and is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the FP&A team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to key stakeholders across the business units. Your role will involve regular business partnering, financial planning, and analysis to drive business growth and success.

Role Responsibilities

Our Finance Business Partner will be responsible for the following key areas:

  • Production of forecasts, annual 5-year plans, and budgets (P&L, Balance Sheet & Cash flow).
  • Finance input on trading targets and planning.
  • Preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
  • Review and analysis of incoming bookings, volumes, and margins.
  • Supporting and preparing presentations for the Board on travel strategy and new initiatives.
  • Providing financial, trading, and trend reporting both internally and externally.
  • Business partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of financial information.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner who has a strong background in financial planning and analysis. You will have a proven track record of working in a B2C organization or customer transaction environment. You will also need to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • A natural business communicator with strong commercial awareness.
  • A can-do attitude, takes initiative, and is a self-starter.
  • Credible and able to establish rapport with colleagues at all levels, including Heads of and Directors.
  • Ability to collaborate and run with high-profile projects.
  • Analytically strong with the ability to challenge and think creatively.
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in the travel or tour operations industry is preferable but not essential.
  • Systems knowledge or experience on TM1/Dream is preferable but not essential.
