Job Description

Axon Moore Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Head of Financial Operations to join their team. This is a challenging and varied role that requires a qualified accountant with a strong background in financial management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in delivering improved accounting activities across multiple international subsidiaries, including bank reconciliation, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and commission payments.
  • Support the team on system development, looking for opportunities to optimize and enhance systems, and working closely with the Head of Transformation.
  • Execute month-end closing routines and provide management reporting to the Director of Finance, working closely with the Financial Controller and with financial operations for the associated GL activities in your area.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are consistently and accurately performed across all bank accounts, and that the volume of transactions is reportable and accurately measured.
  • Support the Commissions team to ensure that valued customers are serviced appropriately, and payments and queries are made accurately.
  • Support Sales Ledger activity to ensure that the aged debt position and cash flow is carefully managed in line with Treasury expectations.
  • Support Purchase Ledger activity to ensure that the ledger is clean and payments are made in line with policy.
  • Manage year-end audit activities relating to your areas of responsibility, and in conjunction with the Financial Controller, ensure both internal and external timelines are met and provide regular updates to auditors and senior management team.
  • Ensure external regulatory deadlines are met on time and in full.
  • Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, compliance requirements, etc. across the processes.
  • Work with other teams in finance and the business to resolve issues, support the growth of the business in other capacities, and enable the wider finance team to be best in class.
