Corporate Knowledge Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Knowledge Lawyer to join our team at Stevens & Bolton. As a key member of our corporate team, you will play a vital role in supporting our lawyers with their work on mainstream corporate transactions, with a particular focus on mid-market Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate restructurings, other corporate procedures, and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and Updating Precedents: You will be responsible for drafting and updating precedents and guidance notes for use by our fee earners, including liaising with lawyers in relation to market practice.
- Knowledge Management: You will carry out analysis of the latest developments in corporate law and ensure that knowledge is promptly disseminated, internally and externally.
- Advisory Role: You will advise lawyers and junior members of the team on legal issues faced in their transactions and matters with on-point, thorough, and timely answers, paying regard to the commercial context.
- Training and Development: You will provide training, including identifying the training needs for lawyers at various levels of experience and delivering appropriate training to the team and occasionally to clients.
- Business Development: You will provide knowledge support to business development initiatives, including supporting client campaigns, training sessions, and other initiatives.
- Technology and Innovation: You will keep up to date with legal technology solutions and liaise with other knowledge lawyers and information services personnel across the firm to train and familiarise the team with new products and processes developed, both internally and externally.
- Strategy and Business Group Meetings: You will support strategy and business group meetings and take an active role in supporting the activities of those groups.
- Learning and Development Plan: You will draft and manage the department's Learning & Development plan and support the delivery of the plan.
- Knowledge Repository: You will maintain an up-to-date know-how repository of relevant example documents and encourage contribution of relevant know-how from fee earners.Requirements
- Qualifications and Experience: You will be a qualified lawyer with significant relevant experience in corporate law, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent legal research skills, excellent attention to detail, experience in drafting in plain language and in English, strong presentation skills, and qualities that fit with a cohesive, friendly, and supportive team.
- Desirable Skills: You will have recent experience of negotiating on Mergers and Acquisitions transactions and market practice, interest in legal technology, and ability to work with a variety of personalities across all levels of the firm.
