About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Service Specialist to join our team at SIM Switchgear. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all service-related projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing switchgear service and maintenance tasks at SIM and customer premises
  • Undertaking pre-mobilisation duties, including project-specific risk assessments and method statements
  • Generating quotations for service-related work
  • Fielding enquiries from existing customers relating to technical support, advice, and future service offerings
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out service as required
Requirements
  • High level of oral and written communication skills
  • Professional manner and commitment to continually improving customer care
  • Ability to work with other departments to deliver appropriate service levels
  • Time served apprentice in an electrical engineering background or equivalent
  • Experience in the fundamentals of electrical switchgear, its operation, maintenance, and fault finding
  • IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft suite programmes
  • Experience of offshore/marine working
