The Post:

We are seeking an experienced Apheresis Specialist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Senior Donor Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing and monitoring venepunctures to obtain apheresis platelets, plasma donations, whole blood, and samples in accordance with nationally approved procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venepunctures to obtain apheresis platelets, plasma donations, whole blood, and samples
  • Monitor and maintain a high standard of care for donors
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication skills

Requirements:

  • SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
