Job Title: Civil Engineering Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Global Highland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure adherence to current Environmental, Health, and Safety Regulations, and comply with the Health and Safety Policy.
* Adhere to the client's Quality Management System.
* Coordinate and manage allocated projects effectively.
* Supervise, guide, and advise trainees/apprentices diligently.
* Regularly update management on project progress, and identify potential threats and opportunities.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Prepare competitive tenders for new work.
* Monitor, maintain, and update the Construction Phase Plan, and compile information for the Health and Safety File in accordance with the Principal Designer's requirements.
* Complete and update all documentation related to Health and Safety inspections and reports as required by current legislation and UBCIVILS procedures.
* Ensure all staff work within the required timescales and quality standards, minimizing potential snagging costs.
* Correctly requisition materials within budget and in time to meet programme requirements.
* Correctly requisition mechanical plant within budget and in time to meet programme requirements.
* Source sufficient numbers of appropriately skilled labour to meet contract requirements.
* Assist the Commercial Manager in preparing necessary reports as required by the Client (or representatives).
* Ensure effective use of materials to minimize site waste and maintaining appropriate segregation arrangements on site before removal.
* Ensure all site-generated paperwork/documentation is completed accurately and in line with company timescales and procedures, including:
* Purchase Orders
* Plant Returns
* Goods Received Sheets
* Timesheets
* Site Diary
* Monthly Site Report
* Labour Only Sub-Contractor Returns
* Staff Allocation Sheets
* Holiday Forms

Requirements:

* At least 5 years managerial experience within the civils sector.
* Strong leadership and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
