Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our IT Service Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our campus network infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with architects and technical leads to design and implement campus network infrastructure.
  • Provide expertise in Cisco SD-Access and Cisco wireless technologies to ensure robust and scalable network solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on SASE technologies, including Palo Alto Prisma Access and Netskope NewEdge.
  • Work with delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition of campus networks into operational support.
  • Develop and enforce network policies and procedures, aligning with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Perform regular upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to maintain optimal performance and seamless connectivity.
  • Collaborate with IT Services teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, providing Level 3 support and guidance to IT Services teams.
  • Work with security teams to deploy and integrate SASE solutions, enhancing the overall security posture of client networks.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices at a low level, including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as Ethernet, TCP, and IP, VLANs, and routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience and understanding of the delivery of IT Service design, implementation, and management.
  • Experience of working with third-party suppliers of products and services, in conjunction with in-house teams to provide integrated and seamless delivery of technical solutions.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, including access control lists, firewall policies, and VPN configurations.
  • Experience in working with low-level network protocols and technologies, such as DHCP, DNS, NAT, and IP addressing.
  • Ability to perform basic network device configurations, including firmware upgrades, port configurations, and VLAN assignments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly identify and resolve network issues.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members, provide technical support to end users, and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
