We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced Community Mental Health Team and Memory Assessment Service to provide a high-quality clinical psychological service to older people in the Sedgemoor Neighbourhood.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist assessments, including neuropsychological assessments and rehabilitation, to older adults with complex functional and organic difficulties.
- Deliver highly specialist psychological therapy and interventions to individuals and groups, working closely with colleagues to develop formulations and support staff to implement psychologically informed interventions.
- Contribute to the development of the Older People's Clinical Psychology Service, working collaboratively with colleagues to improve service delivery and outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision to practitioners, trainees in clinical psychology, and other professionals, as appropriate.
- Engage in consultancy work with colleagues and other professionals to provide expert advice and guidance on complex cases.
- Registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status.
- Relevant specialist training in Neuropsychology, Psychological Therapy, Supervision, and Research Methods.
- Experience of working in Older Adults, including clinical and audit work, teaching and training psychologists, and supervision experience with a range of staff.
- Consultancy experience in a range of settings, including multi-professional and multiagency settings.
- Research and development work in the area of Older Adults.
- Experience of providing a psychological service in the community.
- Ability to teach and train others, using complex multimedia materials suitable for presentations within public, professional, and academic settings.
- Strong leadership qualities, resilience, and ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
