Electrical Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Gap Technical Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team at their facilities near Buxton. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with and actively participate in SHE and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks, and record the results accordingly.
  • Advise on the extent of repairs, replacement, and maintenance issues.
  • Fault find on highly automated plant, including PLC's, VSD's, and process instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
  • Advise on foreseeable maintenance requirements and essential spares requirements.
  • Keep accurate maintenance repair records.
  • Plan, carry out, and keep records of electrical testing and maintenance.
  • Contribute electrical aspects to RCA reports where significant downtime has occurred.
  • Active involvement in the commissioning of new plant or equipment.
  • Provide assistance and support in non-electrical areas as directed by the business to support shift targets and delivery of schedule adherence.

Requirements:

  • Time served Apprenticeship / ONC Engineering - Electrical HNC Electrical Engineering.
  • PLC and Variable speed drives experience (desirable).
  • C&G 2391 inspection and testing (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office systems, e.g. Word, Excel etc.
  • Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Knowledge and experience in the use of risk assessment.
