Job Overview

As a Bank Operations Assistant, you will join our Operations Team on a zero-hour basis, covering sickness and holiday absences, and supporting peak periods like our Summer School. You will undertake various duties across the Cleaning and Catering departments, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
  1. Cleaning:
  • Cleaning and upkeep of school buildings and boarding house residences.
  • Dusting surfaces, wiping door handles, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, cleaning restrooms, showers, and residence communal kitchens.
  • Emptying bins and replenishing stocks.
  • Using equipment, machinery, and cleaning materials effectively and safely.
  • Daily cleaning of College and School of English buildings.
  • Weekly cleaning of individual houses.
  • Checking toilets and communal areas for cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Keeping outside areas free of rubbish.
  • Reporting cleanliness, health, and safety issues to the line manager.
Catering:
  • Food preparation as required.
  • Assisting with food serving during mealtimes.
  • Maintaining hygiene standards and adhering to regulations.
  • Ensuring kitchens and dining rooms are clean and well-maintained.
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment.
  • Operating the Pot Wash facility.
  • Assisting with the Coffee Bar facility.
