About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Commissioning Engineer to join our dynamic team at Assystem in Derby. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient commissioning of nuclear and conventional systems on-site.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Authoring and managing commissioning test procedures and preparing safe systems of work
  • Maintaining accurate records of test results
  • Conducting commissioning tests and analyzing results
  • Communicating effectively and managing processes
  • Carrying out commissioning duties on systems such as nuclear, conventional, and environmental safety systems, control systems, process monitoring and control instrumentation, wastewater tanks, and nuclear qualified cranes

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with commissioning electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on a nuclear licensed site
  • Familiarity with Licence Condition 21 site arrangements, Health and Safety standards, permits, and safety case adherence
  • Ability to perform initial operator duties during commissioning testing phases
  • Skilled in authoring test procedures and reports
  • Understanding of design, construction, and handover processes
